Peel Strength tester
This instrument is developed for the packaging industries. This instrument is used for testing adhesive tapes ,gums etc..The strength require to separate one fix member from the other moving over the adhered surface. The machine is designed to pull the adhesive strip over the steel strip or any other rigid strip at a constant speed without jerks. The direction of the pulling force is kept at 90 degree to separate adhesive strip. The required load is directly indicated by digital display in grams. The maximum load locking arrangement is provided to the display. Top grip is provided to hold steel strip, as well as flexible strip over which adhesive strip is pasted. The bottom grip is provided to hold adhesive flexible strip which pull by way of motorize rotating mechanism at constant speed.

1) Bar Applicator

This film applicator is used to determine the level of wet film thickness at which a paint film will run down or sag. There are seven steps having 50, 75,100,125,150,175 and 200 microns thickness.
6) Automatic film applicator

Fineness Of Grind Gauge
Fineness of grind gauge is used to indicate the fineness of grind or the presence of coarse partials in a depression. It is a flat corrosion resistant stainless steel block. There are two flat-bottomed taper grooves varying uniform in depth from a maximum at one end of the block to zero near the other end. Groove depth is graduated on the block according to one or more scales used for measuring partial size. The degree of depression is indicated in microns or Hegman scale.

Drying time measuring instrument


Drying Time Measuring Instruments
Scope: - this instrument is designed for measuring the drying time of coating, which applied on paper or metallic panel.
Principal: -A ballpoint is travel on the wet film at a const speed. This speed is proportional to time piece (watch) mechanism. This ballpoint leaves the traveling path on the film. When the coating film start drying it become harder slowly. At this junction the ball get lifted above the dry film and shows the rubbing path on film. After completion of one circle of ballpoint observed the ballpoint path. Mark the starting point and the point of rubbing action, which indicate the drying point.
Least Count: - The least count will be different for every model.
(1) For example: -A model having 12 minutes one revolution.
Least count: -1 division (natural 1 min) mark on gauge =12 second.
(2) For a model having 6 hours one revolution
Least count: -1 division (natural 1 min) mark gauge = 6 min

Density cup


DENSITY CUP
Density cup is machined from corrosion resistant stainless steel material. Cover having an upward taper with small hole at center to ensure that no air bubbles are trap in the cavity. Lab-fine Instruments offers two models i.e. 50cc and 100cc.

There are several drawbacks in hand-operated machine. To overcome these drawbacks LAB-FINE has developed automatic Erichsen Cupping testing machine. A coated metallic sheet is clamped and ballpoint is press. As the test panel is deformed the coated surface is kept under observation and the point at which cracks or detached from the substrate is noted.

Scratch hardness tester


Scratch Hardness Tester

This machine is used for determination and measuring the resistance offered by the coated film on metallic sheet by scratching standard specific hard ball point needle.
The design is complies with: -BS3900 PART E.

*Panel mounting platform is free from dent and screw head depression, which causes for damage to the needle.

(a) A minimum weight is fixed before the test and test is carried only to test pass or fail to that particular wt.
(b) The report is presented at which minimum weight the film get peeled off.
